It dissipates the high-temperature waves transferred from your regulator into the air, preventing overheating and keeping the device in top shape during operation. The sink's thermal pad sits between the cooling unit and your switch to absorb the energy via conduction. Thanks to two integrated clamps, you can secure this device to your converter and it stays on, even in vibrating systems.
