The EVAL_3K3W_TP_PFC_SIC evaluation board from Infineon Technologies is a system solution for a bridgeless totem-pole power factor corrector (PFC) with bidirectional power capability. Perfect for use with applications that require high efficiency and high power density, the EVAL_3K3W_TP_PFC_SIC evaluation board consists of a bridgeless totem-pole topology. Furthermore, the EV board is enabled by Infineon Technologies power semiconductors as well as drivers and microcontroller. The simple totem-pole topology provides full utilization of the PFC inductor and switches and offers a reduced part count.

The EVAL_3K3W_TP_PFC_SIC evaluation board also features reverse power flow (inverter operation for grid-connected applications) thanks to the inherent bi-directional power flow capability of the totem-pole topology. This enables the design to be used in battery formation applications or battery chargers.
