It is used for working on live parts up to 1000 V AC. It work so much faster and easier when you set the required width across flats directly on the work piece without needing to press a button. This also means that access to tight workspaces is improved noticeably. Wear and damage to sensitive surfaces are minimized thanks to extremely smooth, parallel acting jaws.
