This digital I/O module from Siemens expands the control capabilities of your PLC. It adds eight digital inputs to your automated system, letting your controller collect more information. By installing eight solid-state digital outputs onto your PLC, the component sends more instructions from your control device to your hardware for efficient automated processes. An input delay of 1.5ms means it responds to changing circumstances quickly, while integrated short-circuit protection protects your wiring from overcurrents, reducing disruption from power faults. With the capacity to switch machines up to 10 times a second, this unit is suitable for controlling frequently used equipment.

• Low current consumption between 0.85 and 3.5mA per input minimises power usage

• IP20 rating indicates protection from fingers and solid objects over 12mm for safe handling

• Supports DIN rail mounting for easy installation

What's the difference between solid-state digital outputs and conventional digital outputs?
