3M Straight PCB Socket, 16 Way, 2 Rows - 8500 Series - 8516-4500PL


Turn to this 3M socket when you want to connect two printed circuit boards (PCBs) without the need for a cable. The socket receives pins through the square terminals on one side and connects to a PCB with its own pin configuration on the other. The header on the socket is shrouded to protect it against the risk of short circuits and interference. The shrouding has a low-profile design to allow mating on either side.

From 3M, the8500 series 2.54 x 2.54mm polarized vertical PCB mount sockets feature centre bump polarization and PCB retention. These 8500 series 2.54mm pitch PCB socket connectors mate with low profile shrouded headers and are used in boardstacking applications such as mother/daughter board.
