TESA Packing Tape, 50mm Width, Grey - 04863-00000-03

This packing tape is designed for secure sealing and reinforcement in industrial and shipping contexts. It combines a cloth backing with a pressure-sensitive adhesive to provide resilient closure for heavy packages and repetitive handling environments. The product suits operations where a robust, tactile tape is required for long runs and demanding transport conditions.

Features and Benefits:

• 3.50N/cm tensile strength provides resistance to stretching and strain
• 3.50N/cm adhesion strength ensures firm bond to corrugated surfaces
• 620μm thickness delivers increased puncture and abrasion resistance
• Natural rubber adhesive offers reliable tack and quick initial grab
• Silicone coated cloth backing enables handling and tear control

Applications

• Suitable for sealing heavy cardboard cases for transit
• Ideal for reinforcing palletised loads and edge protection
• Used with manual dispensers for packaging lines
• Can be used for bundling irregular-shaped consignments
• Used for temporary surface protection during storage

What is the backing construction and how does it affect use?

The backing is cloth treated with silicone which gives dimensional stability and controlled tear behaviour during application.

How does the adhesive perform on corrugated substrates?

The natural rubber formulation produces strong initial tack and sustained adhesion to fibrous board surfaces.

What handling considerations relate to the tape’s thickness?

The 620μm build increases resistance to puncture but requires cutters or dispensers rated for thicker tapes.

Is the colour useful for operational workflows?

The grey finish assists Visual identification without obscuring handling labels or markings.

What are the roll length and compatibility for continuous operations?

The roll provides 25m of tape suitable for medium-length runs on hand-held or bench dispensers.
