This DOL starter from Rockwell Automation reduces system shock when starting an induction motor at full power. This ensures a smooth start and decreased downtime due to vibration-related issues. Consisting of a moulded case circuit breaker, a contactor and a protective overload relay, this device is designed to prevent electrical overload to the motor during start-up. It's ideal for use on bridge cranes, monorails and shrink wrap machines that use low-horsepower squirrel cage induction motors. The Rockwell Automation 154 starting torque controller is designed for low-horsepower single and three phase squirrel cage induction motors these are also designed to reduce system shock that is typically seen when directly starting on line voltage.

This three-phase controller is rated for motors up to 16A. It's suitable for use with permanent split capacitor single-phase motors and capacitor run single-phase motors.
