Eaton MCB, Thermal-Magnetic Tripping Mechanism, Toggle Switch Reset - xEffect Series - 278535 FAZ-B16/1

Keep your control circuit or electrical distribution board safe with this single-pole MCB from Eaton. Its type-B tripping characteristics mean that it breaks the circuit when it receives between three and five times its rated current of 16A. This makes it a sensitive device that reacts to slight power surges, which is useful for protecting equipment in low-voltage commercial settings. This compact MCB clips easily onto a DIN rail to help you build a compact and organised system.

Features & Benefits

• Voltage rating of 240V AC/48V DC makes it suitable for use with the UK mains supply

• Toggle switch actuator allows you to reset it quickly

• Screw terminals help you make quick and secure electrical connections

Why do I need an MCB?

You need an MCB to protect downstream equipment and people from electrical overloads caused by power surges on the supply side. In the event of a short circuit or overcurrent, the MCB will break the circuit, shutting down the power to your equipment and preventing damage or electric shocks. Once you've identified and fixed the fault, you can re-energise your system with the flick of a switch.
