ABB MCB, 40A Current Rating, 400V AC Voltage Rating - S200 Series - 2CDS252001R0404 S202-C40

Use this MCB from ABB to protect your machinery from short circuits and current overload. It features an internal bimetallic strip that heats up when it receives an irregular current, causing the contacts to trip and stopping the power flow. Thanks to a current rating of 40A, the unit can work with your high-power equipment. It has type-C tripping characteristics, so trips reliably at between 5 and 10 times its rated current. As this MCB has built-in resistance to shock and vibration, you can rely on it to prevent false tripping.

Features & Benefits

• DIN rail mount for tool-free connection

• Contact position indicator for simple monitoring

• Wide operating temperature range between -25°C and +55°C to withstand harsh settings

• Mechanical service life of 20,000 cycles for lasting use

• Dimensions of 88 (L) x 35 (W) x 69mm (D) for space efficiency

Applications

• Mining and quarrying industries

• Power plants

• Storage facilities

• Industrial control panels

What does breaking capacity mean?

The breaking capacity is the highest current load an MCB can interrupt without being damaged. This unit has a breaking capacity of 6kA, so it can withstand the demands of heavy-duty systems.
