Use this general-purpose MCB from Rockwell Automation's Allen Bradley range to protect your electronic devices from harmful current supply. To prevent damage to downstream equipment, it's designed to quickly cut power to attached circuits if it detects a current overload or short circuit. The unit is a type C MCB, which means it trips instantly when it detects loads between 5 and 10 times its full load current of 50A. You'll typically find it used with devices that are prone to current surges, such as electric motors.

What's meant by breaking capacity?

Breaking capacity is the maximum current flow an MCB can interrupt without sustaining damage. This unit has a breaking capacity of 10kA, which will generally be enough for more powerful electric devices that often experience higher current surges.

Type C MCB’s are suitable for use in commercial and light industrial applications, such as fluorescent lighting and small electric motors, and are designed to trip at currents between five and ten times their rated load.
