Sensata Cynergy3 Optical Liquid Level Sensor, M10 Internal Mount - OLS5 Series - OLS500D3L

Choose this single-point level sensor to detect if a predetermined liquid level has been reached. With its electro-optic sensors, this is a versatile unit that's a popular choice for saving space in peristaltic pumps and robotic automation systems. It's resistant to common operational issues in sewer systems such as false triggering caused by foaming, making it more reliable. The sensor has a transistor output, so it offers fast and accurate switching.

Features and Benefits

• Solid state ouput for a long service life

• Standard M10x1 thread connections for simple mounting

• Wide operating temperature range of -25ºC to +80ºC for use in demanding industrial applications

How does this optical single-point level sensor work?

This level sensor features an infra-red emitter and detector aligned within an accurately shaped cone to give good optical coupling when the sensor is in the air. This coupling is greatly reduced when the sensor is immersed in liquid, as the infra-red light escapes through the liquid rather than being reflected back to the detector. This helps determine the level of liquid or the presence of any leakages in the system.
