Avago HSMx-A43x Series SMT LEDs


The Avago Technologies’ Power PLCC-4 SMT LED with Lens is a high-performance light source targeted mainly at the automotive & electronics signs and signals (ESS) markets. The top-mount single-chip packages with focused emission offer high brightness in beam direction and are ideally suited for interior automotive, indoor and outdoor sign and industrial applications. The additional lens in the HSMx-A43x series makes them especially suited to applications in traffic lights, CHMSL and visual displays. The PLCC-4 packaged family is able to dissipate heat more effectively than PLCC-2 packages, and with the increase in drive current that this enables allow this family of LEDs to produce higher light output levels than conventional PLCC-2 SMT LEDs. The Power PLCC-4 SMT LED with 30° beam angle is ideal for panel, push-button, or general backlighting in automotive interior & exterior, signage, office and industrial equipment and home appliance applications. The package has been designed to be compatible with both IR-solder re-flow and through-the-wave soldering.
