The Kingbright L-53GD is a green through-hole LED designed for general purpose indicator applications. This tough, reliable LED is the perfect choice for your PCB, also offering a long lifespan so you won’t need to keep replacing it.
The L-53GD comes in a 5mm package with a traditional round lens. The lens is tinted green and diffused so that, even when the LED is off, it will appear green. The package comes with two general purpose leads for through-hole mounting.
Green is a popular colour choice for status LEDs as it is often associated with meanings such as go and power on. The L-53GD has a green light output at around 565nm which is a popular wavelength for green LEDs.
