Vertical Light Guides, 2 Row - Round
This family of vertical light guides, from MENTOR, consist of two rows of light pipes. The round heads are available in a 2 mm diameter and are parallel to the printed board on the front panel. This range of light guides is available in single modules or multiple arrays with up to 20 sections. Some of these light guides use a light diffusing cover to prevent radiation when using a combination of different colours.
Vertical light pipes are designed for use with surface mount (SMD) LEDs and are fitted to the circuit board using push-fit lugs. The light pipe inject face sits in close proximity to the LED on the board.

MENTOR light guides are designed to transmit light from a PCB-mounted LED to the desired user interface. This transfer is completed with little or no loss of luminance and no light bleed between adjacent elements.
This vast range of light guides are available in single or multiple light guide options, with a range of head shapes and sizes. These options allow them to provide a solution for all sorts of applications. They also offer simple installation and high ESD protection.
