RS PRO Halogen Lamp Holder Snap-Fit


Whether you are looking to do some lighting DIY, up-cycling or need a replacement fitting, RS PRO offers this high quality lampholder.

Application includes wall fittings, garden flood lights and floor lamps. Compatible with the R7S 1000W halogen bulbs which provide generally around 3000 hours of use. Screw mounted this lamp holder allows it to be screwed to a wide variety of surfaces, whilst the holder itself provides a snap-fit for quick bulb changes. The holder is made from aluminium making it durable, light weight and strong whilst also providing it with a long life expectancy due to it's corrosion resistance.

What are Lamp holders made from?


Lamp holders are generally made from plastic, ceramic or metal. This includes; brass, porcelain, PC and PBT or other materials that are able to cope with high temperatures.

How are bulbs fitted to a lamp holder?


Depending on the bulb and holder type, there are various methods. Most lamp holders are screw-in (threaded), snap fit or push fit. Some lamp holders are also fitted with a switch to control the power to the bulb.
