From RS PRO this is a Piezo Keypad, touch operated one piece design with a machined aluminium housing complete with anodized number printing. This is a truly versatile keypad suitable for use within various environments, indoors and outdoors as the keypad unit is completely waterproof, tamperproof and vandal proof. As the RS PRO keypad has no moving parts that will not wear out or jam up, it is perfect for high traffic and high abuse environments plus has an additional benefit that it has excellent performance in extreme climates from arctic to desert temperatures. As no power is required for the switch operation the piezo keypad / touch pad is adaptable for battery or solar powered systems.

    Piezo keypads are a type of keypad or keyboard that uses piezoelectric technology which will register and detect key presses. When you press on the keypad it generates and electrical signal which registers which key has been pressed then the internal circuitry interprets the signals sending the input data to the system.
