The Vishay IR Sensor is designed for receiving modulated signals from infrared remote control systems. It integrates a PIN diode and preamplifier on a lead frame, with an epoxy package that serves as an IR filter to enhance signal reception. The output signal, known as carrier out can be used for repeater and code learning applications, allowing for the amplification and processing of IR signals. Please note that this component has not been qualified for automotive specifications, making it suitable for general consumer and industrial applications.
