Ensure your applications run smoothly with this Phoenix Contact Fibre optic signal converter for PROFIBUS networks. It primarily converts complicated electrical data signals into an optical format that's easy for conventional instrumentation to read. Conversion processes include things like amplification, filtering, range matching and isolation. Simply connect your input sensor to produce the signal required by your equipment.
The device has integrated optical diagnosis for the continuous monitoring of Fibre optic (FO) paths during installation and operations. This lets you quickly detect faults and prevent equipment downtimes. High-performance signal transfer speeds of up to 12Mbps (megabits per second) ensure efficiency and reliability of downstream equipment. As this sensor is designed for DIN rail mounting, it offers a hardwearing and secure attachment option that saves space and is practical for confined areas.
• Wide operating temperatures from -20°C to +60°C for use in harsh ambient conditions
• Tough polyamide housing carries an IP20 (ingress protection) rating, which means internal wires and contacts are touch-proof for better safety
• Contains only minimal amounts of any harmful substances, as it complies with RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) standards
