RS PRO Single, Portable Low Height Hydraulic Cylinder, 50t, 60mm stroke

From the extensive RS PRO Hydraulic Tools range, we offer you the RS PRO Single action Low Profile hydraulic cylinder, also known as centre hole cylinders. This single action plunger has a 50-ton capacity with a 60 mm stroke, made from nitride steel, plus, has a chrome plated plunger and scraper extending the life of the cylinder. This single action low profile hydraulic cylinder includes one female quick coupler and please note that if a coupler requires installation to the cylinder, you must use Teflon around the male 3/8 NPT thread. Hydraulic cylinders are also known as a linear hydraulic motor. They are a mechanical actuator used to provide unidirectional force through unidirectional stroke. The power to the cylinder is provided from pressurised hydraulic fluid. Normally oil is used as the hydraulic fluid. Single acting cylinders are the simplest, hydraulic fluid pushed through into the cylinder through a port extending the rod then the rod returns to its previous position, spring action. A Double action cylinder has a port at each end of the piston and the hydraulic fluid then extends and retracts the piston, faster and more controlled.
