RS PRO Top Entry Heavy Duty Power Connector Hood, Cable Mount
Keep the contacts of your industrial plug operating efficiently with this protective, heavy-duty connector hood from RS PRO. The plug has an easy-to-reach wire entry point on the top of the unit.
This hood is made from zinc diecast metal which makes it incredibly strong with excellent resistance to corrosion. It has an IP44 (ingress protection) rating meaning it's protected from damage by solid objects larger than 1 mm such as wires, nails and screws as well as water splashes from all directions. Metal locking levers ensure the hood stays firmly in place when in use.
An industrial hood such as this one is designed to protect connectors in heavy-duty applications, in particular, robotics and machinery. The unit is also UL (Underwriter Laboratories) approved so it meets US safety standards for electrical accessories.
