Typical Applications:

Ball Pein Hammers are commonly used in metalwork fabrication and blacksmithing. Ball-Pein hammers are also known as machinist’s hammers, engineer’s hammers, blacksmithing hammer or mechanics hammer. Peening is the process of hardening a surface by impact. The head of the hammer has a flat face for striking punches and cold chisels and a hemispherical 'peening' or ball face. The ball face is used for rounding off the edges of metal pins and fastenings, closing rivets and shaping and bending metal.

Types of Peening Hammers:
• Ball Pein
• Straight Pein
• Diagonal Pein
• Cross Pein

FAQs:

What is the difference between ball-pein and cross-pein?
Cross-pein refers to the head horizontal to the handle, typically used by blacksmiths to stretch material with lateral expansion. A ball-pein has a round head used for hammering and shaping sheet metal, rounding off the edges or closing rivets.
