Sensata Cynergy3 Submerged Cable Mount Float Switch, 250V AC, 110V DC - FFSMC Series - FFSMC10CU

Accurately control the level of turbulent fluids with this submerged float switch from Sensata Cynergy3. The self-weighted cable-end float is water-resistant up to a depth of 1m, so it can be safely used in demanding applications. An outer casing made of strong blow-moulded polyethylene offers excellent durability, and the entire device is hermetically sealed for a high level of protection against fluids. This switch is commonly used to control the level of substances containing suspended agglomerates, such as sewer water.

Features & Benefits

• Self-cleaning switch element for reduced maintenance time
• Fitted with an internal weight to efficiently fix the switch's centre of gravity and control rotation
• Broad operating temperature range of 0°C to +55°C for use in a variety of environments

What causes the switching action on this float?

Float switches typically consist of a float with an internal magnet that slides up and down a stem, which holds a hermetically sealed, magnetically calibrated switch. As the liquid level moves up and down in the tank, the float’s magnet activates the internal reed switch to control the liquid level.
