The Alliance Memory 16Mbit 5.0 volt-only Flash memory is organized as 2097152 bytes of 8 bits or 1048576 words of 16 bits, with data appearing on I/O0 to I/O7 in 8-bit mode and on I/O0 to I/O15 in 16-bit mode. Offered in a 48-pin TSOP package, it is designed for in-system programming using a standard 5.0V VCC supply, with no need for an additional 12.0V VPP during write or erase operations. It is also compatible with standard EPROM programmers. The device features a toggle bit on I/O6, which indicates whether an embedded program or erase operation is in progress or if the device is in erase suspend mode.
