The CAE Multimedia Connect cable is designed for outdoor applications, in ducts, for direct burial or latched installations. The fibres are colour coded for easy identification. The tube is filled with water-blocking gel to prevent the ingress of water. Dry water-swelling glass yarn is laid over the tube to serve as peripheral strength members and to block the cable from water penetration.

Up to 24 fibres are enclosed in a single PBT loose tube

The outer jacket, made of UV resistant PEHD, is extruded over the armouring tape
