RS PRO FC to FC Single-mode Simplex Fibre Optic Adapter


The RS PRO fibre optic adapter plays a critical role in optical communication systems, despite its small size. It’s a single-mode adapter that helps to accurately set the individual fibres in one optic cable to that of another.

A ceramic alignment sleeve allows for high precision configuration, resulting in minimal degradation of light and low insertion loss. This permits a stronger signal to be sent over the length of a network connection, improving the overall performance of a fibre optical system. The component’s narrow key is suited to APC (angled physical contact) and PC (physical contact) connectors and has high reconnection capabilities.

This FC (fibre channel) connector has a threaded body and meets global intermateability standards for adapters. It's also REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals manufactured in or imported into the European Union) SvHC (Substances of Very High Concern) approved, meeting European Union key chemical control regulations.
