RS PRO Steel Extension Spring, 61 mm x 14 mm
Need a strong and durable extension spring? This steel extension spring from RS PRO is manufactured from piano wire to give it high tensile strength. It has looped ends for easy attachment. The clockwise-coiled spring is manufactured to DIN 17223 Class C standard for patented cold-drawn round carbon steel wire. Its dimensions conform to DIN 2097 Grade 2, which is the industry standard for the tolerances of spring materials. The spring is lubricated to maintain the coiling action and ensure a long service life. Oil-tempered springs of this type rarely need adjustment.
The spring is wound to oppose extension and create resistance to pulling force. You can also use it to absorb and store energy. Applications for this type of spring include automotive exteriors and interiors, washing devices and lever mechanisms.
