Introducing Bopla’s range of pressure compensation elements. This range of industrial-grade cable gland accessories is the solution to variations in pressure that can be caused by differences in temperature where a vacuum is created by air and lets water into the enclosure. Once installed, this range is compliant with a protection class of IP 69 K.

Bopla’s pressure compensation element range is suitable for a wide variety of industrial applications; however, it is not suitable for the manufacture, processing or packing of foodstuffs, medicines or cosmetic and medical products.

What is a pressure compensation element?


In an enclosure, air may create a vacuum when the enclosure cools down, which could suck in water through the vacuum which compromises the ingress protection of the enclosure. It is necessary to have essential pressure compensation elements in place to ensure that variations in temperature are monitored and compensated for, to ensure that the IP protection is secure and performs at its best.
