These cable cutters are diagonal cutters (also known as side cutters) are used in many applications to cut small wires in electrical fields, or communications and construction work. Cable cutters are used in a variety of applications, both domestic and industrial, for hards teel wire and soft copper wire alike. These cable cutters make a useful toolbox addition for engineers, maintenance works and electricians.
Whats the difference between Flush Cutters and Diagonal Cutters?
Flush cutters cut a wire level, whereas side cutters or diagonal cutters cut on an angle meaning the wire edge will be cut to one side. Flush cutters also leave a smoother and more even end of the wire.
Care and maintenance
Do not force cutters to cut through material that is too hard for them as it can damage the blades by chipping or blunting them. These hand tools can be cleaned with soap and water, especially the blades, to remove dirt which could cause issues with the joints and encourage corrosion.
