Cable Sleeving, known as Knitted Wire Mesh Cable or Knitted Wire Lay flat Mesh is well recognisable due to tabular form knitted stocking and comes in flat tape form.

The industry has a full appreciation of sleeving qualities, such as high flexibility, good corrosion resisting or ability to wrap quickly around cables and harnesses. RS has an impressive range of Cable Sleeving, ready to order by just one click, so you choose the right Sleeve diameter, colour, material, Sleeve length and much more to explore to complete your BIG or small project.

Today, we are proudly introducing our own branded RS PRO Braided Monel Silver Cable Sleeve manufactured from 0.11 mm diameter Monel (Nickel-Copper alloy) wire for outstanding corrosion-resisting properties. Cable-management, binding and sleeving around cables and harnesses are extremely straight-forward (50% overlap is recommended on each turn for optimum performance). If the wrapping is managed correctly, the mesh will reduce the "corona" effect of discharge in cable assemblies and harnesses.

To gain full EMI shielding effectiveness, the Cable Sleeving should be spirally overlapped by 50%, allowing wiring systems provide high integrity, meaning a significant reduction in radiation interference.
