Use this Belden Alpha Wire cable gland to secure your electrical cable to its connection. As the gland has a locknut, it can be screwed securely in place to protect the cable from external contaminants. The unit offers built-in strain relief to reduce stress at the plug termination point and prevent cracking and fraying caused by the cable being sharply bent. For workplace safety, the flame-retardant PA6 (polyamide 6) body material extinguishes after 60 seconds in the event of a fire.

Yes, this cable gland is rated IP68 (ingress protection) to indicate it is totally protected against dust and low-pressurised water immersion for up to half an hour. After thirty minutes it becomes IP66, protecting against low-pressure water sprays.
