It features an integrated brush, which protects the cable from EMI to ensure high-quality signal transmissions. For durability, this brush is made from tough brass wire that's resistant to corrosion. This unit is designed for use with cables that have copper braided shields, or with cables that have copper shaft sheaths.

How do I assemble this locknut?
Thanks to its threaded design, you can assemble this locknut by simply screwing it to the end of your cable gland, eliminating the need for special tools.
Lapp Skintop Brush EMC Add On
From Lapp, this Skintop Brush Add-On lock nut is for use with Skintop cable glands, and serves as a lock nut that also provides protection against interference signals.
With a simple screw on design, this easy to assemble lock nut accessory features a brass EMC brush which proves a 360° low resistance screen contact. The lock nut provides EMC-compliant earthing of the copper braiding, or for cables with copper shaft sheath.
The lock nut has a robust nickel-plated brass construction, and as such offers excellent durability and reliability. It can screw onto cable glands in threadless boreholes to provide extra connection security where it is needed.
