WERMA Beacon, 218mm Height, Steady Light Effect - BM 280 Series - 280.470.55

Help protect buildings near airfields with this low-intensity obstruction beacon from WERMA. This domed beacon has 12 LED strips arranged in a circle to ensure even light distribution. Its LED bulb emits a steady red light to create a bright warning that's easy for pilots to see. Thanks to its long lifespan of 50,000 hours, this beacon is a durable option. It has a low current consumption of just 400mA for energy-efficient operation.

How strong is the beacon's housing?

The beacon's housing is made of ABS and PC for resistance to impact, so it can withstand knocks and bumps in tough environments.

Obstruction lighting is a means of ensuring flight safety by marking aviation obstacles with electrically operated beacons. High buildings, factory chimneys, towers, masts etc. above a certain height in the vicinity of airports and airfields must be equipped with obstruction lights.
