RS High Tech Switchmode Lead Acid Charger
All Battery Chargers, also known as a recharger, have one thing in common. The charging protocol is the same. The charger is feeding an electric current through batteries for a specific duration of time. We are introducing the RS PRO High Tech Lead Acid Charger that comes with EURO, JPN, UK and the USA plug. The lead charger gives the precise amount of charge required to maximise the life of the battery. The charger differentiates between the different battery capacities and continuously monitors the status of the cell. This 12V charger can be left permanently connected with no adverse effects on the battery. The unit has medical and non-medical accreditations. The cleaning process for any Battery Charger is similar. To clean the charger, disconnect it from the power adaptor and use a dry cloth only. To ensure the correct function of the 12V charger, keep the charging contacts free from dust and dirt.

Frequently asked questions
What are lead-acid rechargeable batteries used for?
Lead-acid batteries are frequently being used for surge current is critical, even if other designs could provide higher energy densities. Large-format lead-acid designs are often in settings like hospitals and stand-alone power systems. Their surge current properties make them attractive for use in motor vehicles to provide the high current required by starter motors.
How do lead-acid batteries work?
The oxygen in the active material (lead dioxide) reacts with the hydrogen ions to form water, and the lead reacts with sulphuric acid to form lead sulphate. The ions moving through the electrolyte then create the current flow.
How long does a rechargeable Lead Acid battery last?
If the battery is adequately kept (stored in a cool and dry place, charged regularly) the average usage oscillates between 3-5 years and even 12+, depending on manufacturer process of the battery.
How to select the right battery charger?
1. Firstly, you must choose a charger based on the battery type.
2. Then it would be best if you found out what is the battery size.
3. Lastly, choose the correct charger based on the expected outcome.
How do you dispose of a battery?
Batteries should not be thrown away with regular rubbish, and if they contact other pieces of metal or batteries, it can be dangerous. Take these batteries to a collection site for household hazardous waste. For safe disposal cover the positive and negative terminals with duct or electrical tape before disposing of the cell.

Safety Advice
- Keep out of sight and reach of children
- Do not connect batteries in parallel
Guidance
- All batteries are supplied with only a residual charge and should be charged at the continuous charge rate before use - they are not pre-charged for use
- Always install the batteries correctly as per instruction
- Ensure that the contact points are clean and conductive
- Do not mix different types of battery
- Do not dispose of in a fire
Caution
Do not connect batteries in parallel.
