Desco Europe Statfree Rubber Bench Mat
The Desco Europe statfree rubber mat is a blue, 2-layered, static dissipative bench matting suitable to use with constant monitors. These types of mats have been designed to protect sensitive equipment like computers, by quickly drawing the static electricity off workers before they touch the devices.
This mat is made from rubber, which is solder iron resistant, easy to clean and capable of withstanding most chemicals. This mat’s dimensions are 10m length x 1.22mm width x 2mm thickness.

The most efficient way of ensuring optimum personal grounding is to employ the combination of ESD footwear and ESD matting.
Why is it important to be ESD safe?
ESD safe mats help to create an ESD protected area (EPA). This is a defined space where all surfaces, objects, people and ESD Sensitive Devices (ESDs) are kept at the same electrical potential. This is achieved by using anti-static materials such as rubber. The mats can be used on your worktop bench or the floor. You can also use ESD safe gloves and ESD safe footwear to ensure optimum personal grounding and protection. It's important to create an EPA because electrostatic discharge can cause safety issues and damage your electrical components.
