RS PRO Through Beam Photoelectric Sensor, Rectangular Sensor, 50 cm, NPN NO, IP65

The Through Beam reflection photelectric sensor from RS PRO includes excellent performance providing you with a rated sensing distance of up to 50 cm. The photoelectric sensor has a square flat shape design plus includes EMC capability and high light immunity for various applications. Having a flat square allows for easy and quick sensor installation making the RS PRO photoelectric sensor an excellent choice for use in small and confined space environments. The wealth of features with the sensor includes red light source, long distance detection, LED display allowing you to check the sensors operation, function, and switching all providing complete short circuit, overload, reverse and, Zener protection, flexible and easy to use emitter and receiver.

This sensor is made up of a light emitter and a light receiver, the detection distance can be increased by separating the light emitter and receiver. When using the through-beam sensor the emitted and receiver are installed either side of the of the path of objects to be detected. When the object passes through the light beam the light is blocked by the object and the light receiving device acts to output a switch control signal.
