Heat Pumps

A heat pump is a device that transfers heat from one location to another. They are commonly used for cooling assemblies and for heating water in domestic and commercial applications. Heat pumps are made up of a condenser, evaporator, expansion valve and compressor. The system works by pumping thermoelectric modules that are released into the environment. They transfer thermal energy by moving heat from a cold spot to a hotter one.


These air to air convention devices possess significant heat transfer capacity, with a high CoP (coefficient of performance.) They also allow intricate control over temperature and can easily adapt to environmental and seasonal changes. For these reasons, heat pumps are an increasingly popular temperature regulation solution.

What are the different types of air heat pumps?


  • Direct-to-air pumps, or conduction pumps, are available in a variety of cooling power outputs and in either 12V or 24V. Moisture protection options are available. There are many qualities to these heat pump systems, including compact design, reliable and long-running, excellent temperature control and efficient power use.

  • Air Source Heat Pumps, or air-to-air pumps, are able to exchange hot air for cooled air and vice versa. They can be used for heating or cooling. A Heat Pump can be mounted in both directions, which determines if it's providing a heat source or cool air
